Before Becoming a Digital & Content Marketer
I used to be an ESL teacher and thoroughly enjoyed it while in South Korea and Oakland, but with California's budget squeeze, I decided it was time to get into another field instead of moving out of my beloved state.

I've since then been constantly educating myself via startup books, podcasts, webinars, growth meet-ups, and online and offline in digital marketing classes and entrepreneurial classes . On the side, I sometimes help friends with their startups online or consult them with online platforms for social and e-commerce. I get a kick out of empowering others and sharing knowledge with them.
I like frequenting art and foodie events, hiking, skiing, yoga, dance and setting up informational interviews to learn about companies that fall into themes I connect with. Examples might be IDEO, Hearst Media, Pereira & O'Dell and more.
I was an aerialist and avant guarde performing artist in Lala land - yup, an Angeleno at birth. The thing I value the most from that experience is understanding the world first and foremost through a visual multimedia lens. I spent so much time deciphering layout, image, choreographies, blocking, story, gesture, emotion, spoken and unspoken themes that my mind tends to travel there first before anything else.
I also learned about collaboration, promotion and events, video editing, and was on social media before it became widespread, such are the benefits of living in LA. Content is truly king in that town. Events at places like LACMA and Coachella became the performative norm for me . I also worked in commercial interior design while I was in college and right after, which helped me understand products in a visual sense. I was an Accessory Buyer for onsite installations.
